Hon. Justice Solomy Balungi Bossa is a Judge in the Appeals Chamber of the International Criminal Court (ICC). Prior to joining the ICC in 2018, she occupied several judicial positions where she made landmark decisions on business and human rights, including as a Judge at the African Court of Human and Peoples' Rights, the East African Court of Justice, the United Nations Mechanism for the International Criminal Tribunals and the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda.

She was also a Judge at the Court of Appeal of Uganda and the High Court of Uganda respectively.  Before joining the bench, she served as an attorney in private legal practice and lectured at the Law Development Centre of Uganda. Justice Bossa also served as Vice Chairperson of the International Bar Association Human Rights Institute, Chairperson of the Legal Aid Clinics of the Law Development Centre, President of the Uganda Law Society and Chairperson of the Uganda Law Council.
